The Structure of FSW

Formally, the Association is a fully independent charity which works with any family referred to it irrespective of faith and belief. All its work is based on a policy of offering objective and impartial support to all which can be clearly seen in all our equal opportunities policies.

We are a faith based organisation so the relationship between FSW and the Diocese is fundamental to our existence. Maintaining close contacts with the parishes and deaneries of the Diocese will ensure our development is understood and appreciated by our long-standing supporters, many of whom are church members.

We are governed by a Council and Executive Committee dedicated to the on-going success of FSW. They commissioned a thorough-going Review of the organisation in 2004, from which has arisen our 2005-2010 Five-Year Plan. We seek to employ staff with both the necessary skills and experience and the right values and attitudes to provide a very special service to families in distress.
