Remember that everyone can volunteer - whatever your skills, experience or background there should be an opportunity suitable for you.

Think about what it is you may have to offer - enthusiasm, work skills, life skills?

Think about what you want to gain from volunteering – is it to learn new skills, a sense of enjoyment and fun, or the chance to contribute to a worthwhile cause?

Work out roughly how much time you may have to give, when you have to give it a week or in a month.

Talk to us to see what might be available in your area of interest. Even if there are no suitable areas within Family Support Work there are other agencies requiring help.

Ask questions - don't be shy about asking questions as you go through the process of applying for an opportunity.

Just try it - often the most difficult part of volunteering is making the first move, so be brave!
